Please complete the module within Advantage > Fundamentals > Study my qualification > Exemptions.
If you have a non-ICAS-accredited degree, you will need to download and complete from the exemptions portal. You will find the link to this and further details on the exemption application process found within the above module.
This form must be completed and uploaded with any accompanying evidence of your qualification.
Follow the guidance below to complete your exemption application:

Complete the exemption application form indicating the course exemptions you would like to apply for. Please note the following:
- You should apply for all exemptions you may be eligible for in one application.
- Exemptions are not awarded based on work experience.

Exemptions can only be claimed if the degree is less than three years old at the time of commencing your CA training with ICAS.

Complete a syllabus coverage table for each course subject you are claiming an exemption from, clearly noting the relevant module(s) from your course in which each topic was covered. Each line of the syllabus grid should reference the module and ideally the document in which the topic has been covered.

Provide copies of all relevant module documentation from the university. This can include:
- module outlines
- course notes/slides

exam papers
These documents must be sufficiently detailed to show how each of the ICAS syllabus topics have been covered and should be cross-referenced to the syllabus coverage table.
- Provide a COPY of your final academic transcript showing your final degree award, to confirm the modules you have passed and the marks obtained. (both subject requirements and syllabus
coverage mentioned above). - Please note that copies of all academic transcripts and module documentation must be submitted in English and cannot be returned to you.
- ICAS will not accept hard copies of information, including mailed copies of the supporting documents. All supporting documents and the application form should be submitted via the exemptions portal on the website.
- Ensure that the information you submit is complete. Ensure all required information supporting the application is sent, secured together and is easily identifiable to your application.
