ICAS Foundation – invest in a fair future
ICAS Foundation – Charity funded by ICAS and ICAS Member donations, to help young people from low income backgrounds to go on to study Accounting or Finance at University, supported by a bursary, and one to one mentoring from a CA for up to 4 years.
Launched in 2012, ICAS Foundation makes a difference by supporting academically talented young people facing economic and social barriers to higher education. These barriers include low household income, challenging family circumstances, limited awareness of opportunities and living in areas of multiple deprivation.
This aim is achieved through financial support, a mentoring scheme and internships that add important skills and experience.
ICAS Foundation relies heavily on direct donations from ICAS Members, including donations made during the Annual Renewal process. This funding is used to support a number of young people on the Foundations 4 year programme every year. On average the Foundation supports around 30 young people per year and invests up to £10k over four years for each person.
ICAS helps to support the running costs and provision of services for the charity.
