Religion is important as it often indicates an additional barrier facing some people from ethnically diverse groups. Such as an Asian British CA who is also a Muslim. Additionally we would like to know which cultures and faiths our Members share so we can celebrate the diversity of our Members. 

We live and work in predominantly a Christian country, so we will still celebrate Christmas and Easter with our Members, however we should also consider recognising other festivals which are celebrated by our Members and their families, such as Diwali (mostly Sikh and Hindu Members), Hannukah (mostly Jewish Members) and Eid Ul Fitr (mostly Muslim Members).
