Yes, even where a question doesn’t have an embedded Excel file, you can still use Excel to help with your calculations.
To do this, create a new Excel tab in a question that does have an embedded Excel file. Perform your calculations in that new tab and then copy and paste your workings into the relevant answer box on the assessment paper.
Please note that for questions without an embedded Excel file you must paste your calculations into the answer box on the assessment platform and not leave them in the extra Excel tab. Any calculations that remain in the extra Excel tab will not be marked.
Our recommendation remains that for questions without an embedded Excel file you answer directly into the answer box. You may encounter issues with formatting when copying and pasting from Excel and do so at your own risk.
