‘Closed book’ means that during the assessment you must remain within the assessment platform at all times, using only the resources provided. You’re not allowed to leave the assessment platform to view or download other resources or to upload documents. However, you may download/annotate and highlight the PDF of the assessment paper.
A closed book environment enhances the academic integrity of our assessments. Academic integrity is an increasing focus of regulators and protects you from the (intentional or unintentional) risk of doing something you shouldn’t during an assessment.
Your primary focus throughout the course is to be able to apply your learning in your assessment and demonstrate your competence with the syllabus learning outcomes.
The permitted resources for each subject have been compiled to ensure that you have available the resources needed to assist you in doing this. It also prevents you from getting distracted on information that will not enhance your answer.
